DREA

To get a grasp of what kind of DJ Drea is, you just have to observe the dancefloor in any of her sessions: there is plenty of diversity, youth, and open-mindedness; but there is also a demanding audience who looks for thefundamental qualities of a good DJ —technique, selection, and charisma.Of African descent, Drea grew up listening to black music —from jazz or old-school R&B to disco or contemporary house. This constant rhythmic flow is undoubtedly the major influenceof her sets nowadays.Indeed, the variety of musical genres Drea uses in her sessions is surprisingly diverse. It is not strange to see her opening her set with 90's R&B, transitioning into Afrobeat edits, and finishing with hard-hitting remixes of dance funk or vocal house. The dynamism of her DJ sets is never at odds with their quality. This particular way of understanding the sets is the reason that has led her to perform in a handful of European clubs during the last few months: Berlin, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Zurich, Lisbon, Milan... If we also include her shows in Spain during the year 2022 —her DJ set at Boiler Room Madrid has already reached more than half a million views —and a regular presence in one of the most influential clubs in Spain (Fuego at Razzmatazz), we can say that Drea is in the best moment of her career; with a solid fan base and with a very bright future ahead of her.
