Costa Rican native Esteban Howell is an established Electronic Dance Music DJ, Promoter & Educator and a key player in the Central America underground music scene since the early 2000’s.
Known for his fascination with the tech and progressive angles of House Music, Esteban’s passionate sets have been part of legendary regional venues and events such as Club Vertigo, Antik, Teatro Amador, Panama Crossroads Festival, Ocaso Festival, VFL Festival, Sunjam Festival and Casa Morelos.
His versatility as a DJ has allowed him to play alongside a variety of world class talent like Alex Kassian, Alexi Delano, Bambounou, Camea, Danny Howells, Dubfire, Fatboy Slim, Felix da Housecat, Hernán Cattaneo, James Lavelle, James Zabiela, Joel Mull, John Digweed, Junkie XL, Nick Warren, Paul Woolford, Robag Wruhme, Roi Perez, Stefan Goldmann, Steve Aoki, Steve Bug, Technasia, Teki Latex, Thabo (DE) and YouAndMe.
An all-time active supporter of the local scene, Esteban has opened the door for future generations promoting both local and international talents through various projects.
In 2008 he founded DJLab DJ & Music Production School partnering in education with industry’s well known platforms Ableton, Arturia and Native Instruments.
As a promoter, Esteban’s CRAVE and WARP events offer an open-minded experience curated with a diverse and inclusive approach. Artists like Alex Kassian (Love On The Rocks), Roi Perez (Panorama Bar), Thabo (Home Again), Adam Collins (Omni A.M.) and Lucient (Lapsus) are part of an international guest talent that continues to evolve.
