Kundai is a Zimbabwean Born, London Based Artist, Art Director, Graphic and Sound Designer and Musician. They are a music producer and singer/rapper producing pseudo-experimental electronic music reinterpreting traditional Zimbabwean drumming patterns merging with influences from Trap, Pop, Hip Hop, RnB, and left-field dance music. This blend has led them to be commissioned to make audio/visual pieces and performances by art institutions such as Camden Art Centre and shows at institutions such as The Barbican and the ICA. From collaborations with Two Shell to Hyperdub artists like Scratchclart, Kundai has received acclamation from the likes of Kode9, Laurent Garnier, Tzusing, DJ Noir (Juke Bounce Werk), Hodge and many more from their 'Glisten' EP which released on Human Pitch (NYC/CDMX). They have played on line ups with the likes of Two Shell, RPBOO, DBN GOGO, Shannen SP, Scratchclart, Toya Delazy, Lechuga Zafiro and have played multiple London Fashion Week shows over the last 2 years. With a debut album on the way, Kundai merges the boundaries between art, fashion, music and design to create their own world where genres are bent into their own new and unique form.
