Filippo Calcagni, better known by his artist name DJ Mad Dog, is an Italian DJ, producer, remixer and owner of Dogfight Records. Known for his furious and flaming beats that range across all tempos, Italian Hardcore sensation Mad Dog is unquestionably one of the industry’s most consistent producers. Active in the scene since 1999 and an exponent of the Millennium and Modern Hardcore eras, Mad Dog has remained in an unshakeable position through all of the genre’s twists and turns. Fronting his musical platform Dogfight Records since 2016, Mad Dog has represented a forefront of talented artists who are revolutionizing the genre one track at a time. Mad Dog has many hits to his name, such as his Masters of Hardcore 2020 anthem ‘Magnum Opus’ and the 2022 anthem ‘Immortal’ with Evil Activities, the infamously popular ‘Reset’, Thunderdome Music release ‘What Is Hardcore?’, ‘MEAN STREETS’, ‘Come Get Some’ with Dogfight comrade AniMe and his legendary ‘Downtempo’ EP series.
