Oscar Atanga aka O.N.A is a Cameroonian sound artist, curator and DJ.
Born and raised in Manchester, U.K, Oscar spent several years working in London after completing his studies at Oxford University. Working from his Berlin studio, where he is currently based, Oscar produces primarily electronic music incorporating live instrument playing within various solo and collaborative projects.
Oscar's sonic practice is driven by textural exploration and the decolonisation of sounds and spaces. Oscar seeks to break down restrictions of genre and style, whilst also reclaiming diasporic musical expressions and reflecting their breadth and depth.
Oscar is a Refuge Worldwide Resident and is also a core member of Black Artist Database (B.A.D).
