Italian-born Rico Casazza is a multi-talented artist, earning recognition as a DJ, electronic music producer, film composer and film sound designer.
Rico relocated to London from Milan at the age of 19, where he spent 20 formative years deeply entrenched in the vibrant music scene for which the UK is renowned. During his youth, he refined his skills in the underground music scene of the early 2000s. This era profoundly influenced his artistic development, and its impact continues to shape his signature sound to this day.
Rico's music production is a fusion of these influences and his own imaginative ocean. He is best recognized in the electronic dance music community for his records that explore Minimal, Techno and Electro, delivering his own sound signature to the genres.
His music has cultivated a devoted following of fans who are captivated by his distinctive soundscape. With an extensive discography boasting 26 EPs, 6 full albums, 20 remixes, and counting, Rico has firmly established his reputation as a seasoned music producer.
As a performer, Rico has performed stages throughout Europe, Mexico, India, and the US, earning notoriety for his DJ sets, which are laser-focused on Dancefloor vibes, occasionally infused with ambient and dub elements. He performed since 2007 in many clubs around the world, but some of his highlight are Fabric London, Boiler RoomGoa, DGTL festival in Mumbai.
Beyond electronic dance music, Rico's artistic versatility extends into the realm of Motion Picture as a Film Sound Designer and Film composer. He seamlessly integrates his creativity into his work, crafting tailor-made electronic ambient pieces for visual art, and very immersive atmospheric sound design for motion pictures.
Furthermore, since 2021 Rico hosts a YouTube channel where he imparts his extensive knowledge on music production tutorials focused on Ableton Live and also videos of his musical expression, the channel has garnered a loyal following of over 2.8k subscribers.
