Multimedia artist and DJ from Siberia, resident of Beijing club “Lantern”, Yulav has moved to Berlin in 2019 in order to merge their artistic and musical realms with the variety of scenes presented in the city. In the dancefloor context, Yulav uses the whole spectrum of an e-world culture varying from hip-hop, house, reggaeton, dubstep, footwork to trance, techno, gabber and breakcore, powdering the classics with a fair dose of the evolving genres. The application of the following approach brings to the attention the ideas of our coexistence, unification of the forces, social and cultural integration. The hallmark of their performance is not solely the provision of quality, diversified music, but the uniqueness of the set- and costume design, the use of theatrical elements in the act, movements and vocalizations – peculiar combination of their creative backgrounds. Apart from being a music enthusiast, Yulav is highly engaged in art and fashion globe, collaborating, for example, with the entities like Goethe Institut, Berlin Fashion Week. As a music performer, Yulav has been spotted in the mixture of line-ups including such artists as Swan Meat, Metaraph, Antonia XM, DJ Fingerblast, AUCO. Previously working with Widows as a curator of the former “Widows Radio” project, Yulav is grateful to experience the connection with numerous labels & creators: Catnapp, Melania, Ani Klang, Soul Feeder, RAIDERS Records, AGVA, Ashida Park, Trrueno, KEYI Magazine and many more.
