Cabizbajo is a Mexican DJ and producer that through his sets and productions has been establishing himself in the techno scene since the mid 2010’s. Constantly evolving his sound it has ranged from slow guitar infused melodic jams to stomping techno productions. This range was showcased perfectly in 2016 while playing a Live Act at the Boiler Room Guadalajara, a presentation that catapulted Cabizbajo into the underground techno scene spotlight. In addition to releasing 1 full LP, EPs, Singles and Remixes on labels like Sincopat, Factor City, Nein, Turbo Recordings, Duro and Roam Recordings. Currently residing in CDMX but constantly on the move. Racking up an impressive list of venues and festivals both in Mexico and internationally. With past performances in Day Zero, EDC Mexico, Get Lost Festival, Pal Norte, opening for Eric Prydz’s Holo in a sold out 20 thousand capacity venue, also headlining and playing along nights in prestigious clubs such as Fünk (CDMX), LooLoo (CDMX), Hardpop (Cd.Juarez), Renate (Berlin), Bar Americas (Guadalajara), Kapputt (Bogotá), La Dame Noir (Marseille) and many others. Another notable project is ROTATE, a collaboration with world renowned Bar Americas consisting in a residency at the club as well as parties in different cities and venues, everything under Roberto’s careful curation. This has resulted in a very interesting blend between the techno/indie sound and minimalistic visual arts and graphic design. His style at the decks has been described as energetic and driven, well known for bringing out the energy from a crowd blending genres from Indie Dance, Tech House, Techno, Dark Disco and House music. This particular characteristic alongside a strong intuition for reading a crowd has taken Cabizbajo from the underground to being one of the most well established techno acts within México and Latin America.
