Dying & Barakat is the project of Rodrigo Agüero and Yibran Barakat, two influential Argentine techno DJs and producers with more than 15 years of experience, with strong roots in 90s/00s techno. Their sound is a mix of Detroit, dub, electro, and tribal rhythms. Early in their career, this project has released four highly acclaimed albums on labels such as CLFT, Knotweed Records and Axaminer Records, along with remixes by artists such as Jeroen Search, Bleak, and Mattias Fridell, among others. This success earned them a European tour that culminated in a three-hour live set at the legendary Tresor club.
In early 2023, they released “Outline” again on the French label Knotweed Records and “The Storytellers” on Mitsubasa Records. In 2025, they completed their discography with the release of “Difference In Our Movement” on South Signatures, an Italian label owned by Raffaele Attanasio.
The evolution in music production has led them to develop a futuristic perspective on electronic music with the aim of leaving a lasting impact on the music scene.
