Kai Campos is a London based producer, DJ and one half of Mount Kimbie. Having been at the forefront of the international electronic scene for years, Kai has spent years perfecting his creativity with Mount Kimbie. After three critically acclaimed albums with Hotflush & Warp Records and countless world live tours, Kai’s focus has moved back to one of the groups original priorities; the dance floor space.
Kai’s live shows offer a glimpse beyond Mount Kimbies varied influences of avant garde tastes from across all forms of electronic music. Campos reveals inspiration from heady minimalist 90’s techno and the spontaneity of live hardware, revealing a harder, more club focussed orientation. His energy building techno paired with live improvisation brings focus to the more pulsating, Detroit inspired side to techno.
Kai’s DJ sets focus on stomping techno, hypnotic detroit sounds and everything outside and inbetween. Kai’s recent acclaimed BBC Radio 1 Essential mix, Live performance on HOR Radio & Mixmag cover mix, as well as his Resident Advisor Mix have all offered an insight to his unique hardware sound and energy. In 2023 Kai is set to delve even deeper into this world with continued worldwide DJing, B2B mixes and new music.
