MUSICAL INFLUENCE & GENRES: With her musical perspective greatly influenced by the rich tapestry of South African sounds that served as the backdrop to her formative years, Lerato predominantly crafts genre-bending fusions of classic and contemporary Afrohouse, Amapiano and Afrotech tunes, delicately weaving in elements that span across genres, cultural influences and musical eras. RESIDENCY ON OROKO RADIO: True to her name, Lerato - which means “love” in Sesotho, infuses each set with intentionality, creating a distinct & boundary-pushing sonic experience that not only celebrates her South African heritage but also spreads love and joy. Lerato is also a proud resident DJ on Oroko Radio, where she produces and hosts her own bi-monthly show, ‘Ka Lerato la Love’, an exploration of love through the sounds of Afrohouse, Amapiano & Afrotech.
