Charlie Tilley, aka Dubrunner, is a London-based Producer and DJ who took on his alias after working as a runner for the renowned sound system event Subdub. Dubrunner has long been a key figure for years within the Leeds scene, co-founding the now infamous aerobics-themed party Stretchy Dance Supply, working behind the counter at Tribe Records and curating the Orchard Music Conference series.
Dubrunner’s debut came in 2019 with the release of “Zoya’s Trip” on Scuffed Recording. Setting pace with a distinct production style formed from low-slung bass and menacing acid lines, it’s a sound that draws on 90s sound system heavyweights The Disciples, Iration Steppas & The Rootsman.
At the controls, Dubrunner’s diverse selection nods to steppas, jungle, techno and breakbeat. He’s performed alongside the likes of Iration Steppas, Goldie, LTJ Bukem, David Rodigan, Call Super, Addison Groove & Kush Jones, with sets at Keep Hush, Fabric and Outlook Festival.
