After juggling a flight attendant career and DJing for over a decade, Pooja B followed her dream and moved to Berlin during the pandemic in 2021. Clubs were just opening their doors, and she started playing regularly. She uses her understanding of dancefloor psychology to curate sets that resonate with her own love for dancing. She feels most grounded in the fundamental techno sound she heard in Berlin’s clubs on her first trip to the city. Like the polarity of her femme and masculine energy, she embraces the neurodiverse spectrum of her musicality. Reflecting the place and time, you could hear her play energetic grooves, brain-massaging frequencies, or dark industrial textures. With a growing presence, Pooja B plays for many clubs and queer collectives in Berlin and beyond. Some renowned gigs she has been part of are Magnetic Feilds Festival (India), TRESOR West (Dortmund), Analog Room (Dubai), Mina Suspension (Lisbon), Balance Festival (Leipzig), and Womb (Tokyo), among others. Having held a few residencies, she can navigate extended warm-up, peak time, or closing slots. Her own music productions are often political, and she intentionally digs for music by FLINTA & BIPOC artists. Pooja B is involved in diverse communities, working on transcultural inclusion, equity, and mental health in music spaces. This has fostered a loyal and supportive fan base that rallies behind her every project.
